An update from our social prescribers

In recent weeks, Tracy Bailey and Sally White (our social prescribers) have been visiting Emsworth and Hayling communities to continue their valuable work and support. Recent work has included:

Attending summer family events

Visiting people at home and in their gardens where possible

Supporting those hard of hearing and deaf with local connecting for walks and craft kit delivery

Placing bookings for Trike opportunities for a ride out – a waiting list is now open

Signposting people to activity opportunities and other connections for CAB advice and guidance with housing – finances – benefit claims

Kit bag charity has been involved with an ex-service man who has dementia

Linking local care agencies and senior persons help following changes in needs for some of our older people referred to us.

Giving out information for young families for support such as activities – clothing – food banks – benefits – counselling and mind wellness information for self-referral

Libraries are back open and we have been sharing the Hampshire timetable. It is a meet up place which we also use for some clients

Linking people with bereavement, counselling, support groups and ITalk

We are currently looking at venues to start a drop-in monthly session and we are in the process of setting up some days and times.
